¢£Hikawa Shrine
The main shrine is a masterpiece of
Edo period architecture and is designated
as a Cultural Property of Saitama Prefecture.
Inside the vast grounds of the shrine,
the sounds of the surrounding city of
Kawagoe, also known as Little Edo, become
mysteriously silenced. Walk along the
serene shrine path and pass beneath
the large shrine gate into a calm world
of a lush, dense forest. |
¢£Omiya Park
This park, located almost in
the middle of the Omiya district, was
created in 1884 and was the first prefectural
park of Saitama Prefecture. The park
features groves of towering Japanese
red pines over a hundred years old and
its renowned 1,200 cherry trees, and
with its beautiful springtime greenery
and autumn leaves, it can be enjoyed
year-round.

The Omiya bonsai village is located in the north of Omiya park, which is surrounded by the Tobu Noda line and the JR Utsunomiya line. It is known for one of the best bonsai villages, and it entertains people¡Çs mind throughout the year. It displays the old-school locomotives and the latest trains as well as a plenty of miniatures, bringing you unique and exciting entertainment as if you were a train driver.
